This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly round-up in which I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days? Stay safe!

THEN: I finished reading Lisa Jewell's The Family Upstairs, and though it took me a long time to finish, I liked it. It's not her best book, but clever and entertaining all the same. I just got an arc for her next one, so I'm excited to give that a try, too!

NOW: I am finally reading Circe by Madeline Miller! I was saving it for a "special occasion" and though I had not anticipated that said occasion would be a global pandemic, so it is, and the book is brilliant. I am about two thirds of the way through, but I can't imagine this won't be among the top three best books I will read this year.

NEXT: I think I will read Jennifer Hillier's Little Secrets next. I've heard a lot of good things about this book and liked the author's previous book Jar of Hearts a few years ago. Have you read it yet? What did you think?
