This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly round-up in which I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days? Stay safe!

THEN: So...I finally read Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and I'm afraid I did not like it. I want to acknowledge that so much work goes into writing and publishing a book and clearly the majority of readers felt enthusiastic about this one, however, for me, it was quite remarkably disappointing and unoriginal. You can find my full review here.

NOW: Currently, I am nearing the end of Lisa Jewell's The Family Upstairs. I usually race through her books, unable to put them down, and I don't know if it's because I am feeling a little distracted these days or it's the book itself, but it's been a slow read for me.

NEXT: I think I might read Such a Fun Age by Kiley Read next. I've heard it's quite clever and entertaining and am keeping my fingers crossed that popular opinion will align with my own on this one, unlike Where the Crawdads Sing...
