This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly round-up in which I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days? Stay safe, everyone, and stay home if you can!!

THEN: I finished Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe. This book received a lot of attention and I think it's mostly warranted. the level of research that went into writing it is so impressive and though it is a bit long, it is well written and an important subject matter.

NOW: Currently, I am reading The Boy from the Woods by Harlan Coben. As with all other books by this author, it's very hyped up and I am disappointed. My own fault, I know. It's okay, but really nothing that's grabbing my attention, which could be the fault of these times and not the book, but I am only halfway, so it may yet improve considerably.

NEXT: Continuing in this cheery vein, I think I'll lead Ghettoside by Jill Leovy next. It sounds fascinating and I know I should be reading Sophie Kinsella or Mindy Kaling's memoir in these times, but I can't help but gravitate towards darker books. I don't know what that says about me...don't judge.
