This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly round-up hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, and though this was very engaging, like all his books, and is his best known, it is not the first one I would recommend to readers (that honor goes to Missoula). Still, definitely a worthwhile read! You can find my review here.

NOW: I just started Shalini Boland's The Other Daughter. I have read just about all the author's other books and she is usually good for an engaging plot and real characters. I haven't been reading so many mysteryies lately, so I'm hoping this one will be a good one.

NEXT: I think I will round out this year's reading with This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger. I wanted to read it a while ago, then read his book Ordinary Grace instead. I really liked it, and am eager to see if the author's latest book lives up to the hype as well. Have you read it? What did you think?
