Mini Review: The House at the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

Though it took me a while to finish this, I am happy to report it's well worth the hype. What a lovely, thoughtful story with some truly memorable characters and a well illustrated setting! While the plot wasn't entirely unique or the ending particularly surprising, the way it all slowly and gently unraveled was beautifully done. I liked that there wasn't a big explosion of drama or some dumb battle, but instead that sense, meaningful conversation, reflection and patience were effective tools in bringing about necessary change.
It really is such a heartwarming story in a time when we could all use more of those. Looking forward to reading more by this talented author in the future!
