Mini Review: The Guncle by Steven Rowley

What a great book for the start of a new year! I had been wanting to read this one for a while, and as it happened, my hold for it at the library was released just as 2021 ended. I was concerned I would be disappointed, because books that are so hyped up, in my experience, often don't live up to it. Fortunately, my worries were unfounded. It is funny, thoughtful, and engaging, with a cast of well-developed characters I won't be quick to forget. My only niggle is that I listened to the audiobook and the narrator/author kind of overdid it sometimes, but that's just my personal feeling. All in all, a great story!
