Mini Review: Reborn in the USA by Roger Bennett

5*****
What a thoughtful, funny and engaging memoir! Roger Bennett comes across as truly genuine and hopeful, without being annoyingly so, which made this feel like a refreshing read, even in the context of these difficult, polarized times in the US. I enjoyed the way he illustrated his childhood and teenage years, growing up in Liverpool, yearning for and often idealizing America. As a fan of the Men in Blazers podcast, I had been looking forward to this book for a while, and was not disappointed. Bennett is just as personable and entertaining in Reborn in the USA as on the podcast. Recommended!
