Mini Review: Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro

4****
Klara and the Sun is a thoughtful and thought-provoking novel that questions what a future could look like, with the introduction of AI technology that not only takes on ordinary tasks as a robot might, but is also capable of feeling and memory. While I enjoyed the book, it was not, perhaps, as revolutionary in the ideas it proposed as I had expected it to be. It's an intriguing, at times moving, at others unsettling novel written with Ishiguro's trademark understated eloquence, yet never quite as imaginative as I felt it had the potential to be. Though it was not, by my estimation, the author's best work, I still consider it a worthwhile read.
