Mini Review: Insomnia by Sarah Pinborough

3***
Insomnia was a quick, fast paced read, though one that irritated me at times as well. The premise was intriguing and quickly pulled me in, but I did feel it got a bit repetitive and I don’t love it when EVERYTHING bad that could happen to a character happens. It starts to feel tedious instead of clever, though given the intricate plotting, I know the author is quite clever. That being said, having read a few of Pinborough's books, I felt this was not her strongest, and I suspect it will melt into a blur of similar somewhat meh- crime fiction in my mind, unlike her weird, but very addictive book, Behind Her Eyes. All in all, an entertaining read, but not a standout thriller for me.
