Mini Review: How We Fight For Our Lives by Saeed Jones

4.5*****
I had listened to an interview with the author on an NPR podcast and it intrigued me enough to pick up this book. Jones has a very engaging style of writing that feels almost like fiction (in some cases, when he is abused for being gay you wish it were fiction!) It is strange to me, sometimes, when people who are still quite young - he is in his thirties - write memoirs, but Jones really does have an important and relevant story to tell and one that I am glad I had a chance to read. It is a short book, but I think it will stay with me for some time to come. Thanks to Netgalley for supplying me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
