This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly round-up hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished Ordinary Grace by William Ken Krueger. I don't know why it took me so long to read this book! It was so hyped up for a while, I think that put me off a bit, but to be honest, it's deserving of the fuss. The author has a real talent for creating characters that feel real and I was truly invested in the story. Recommended!

NOW: I am currently reading Chase Darkness with Me by Billy Jensen. True crime isn't my favorite genre, but I had read good things about this book and so far I really like the author's tone and his approach. He really focuses much more on the victims than the perpetrators and does so in a thoughtful, kind way, which appeals to me.

NEXT: My dad recommended The Guardians by John Grisham, and so I think it may well be my next read. I haven't read many books by the author, but they are always entertaining and not as formulaic as many other legal thrillers.
