This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly round-up hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished The Whisper Man by Alex North. It is set for publication mid-August, so I thought I might whet your crime fiction appetites already by telling you it's something to be excited about! A clever mystery, engaging characters and solid writing!

NOW: I'm still reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. There's a good chance I will still be reading it next week, too! It's over 700 pages and dense at that. All the same, I am finding it to be worth all the hype. The writing is wonderful and not pretentious as I had feared and I am truly attached to the characters, especially Jude and Willem. Very curious to see how it develops. Have you read it?

NEXT: The Sentence Is Death by Anthony Horowitz is next up on my to-read list and I'm excited! I really enjoyed the first book in the series, The Word Is Murder and have read others by the author as well. I would definitely recommend them for fans of witty and well-plotted mysteries!
