This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly round-up hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished The Chain by Adrian McKinty. It was a standalone by an author whose Sean Duffy series set in 1980s Northern Ireland is a favorite. The premise of this book was creepy and fascinating, even if the execution didn’t quite live up to expectations. You can find my full review here.

NOW: Currently, I am reading Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer. It's my third book by the author, and though the subject matter would not ordinarily have drawn me in, this author has a knack of making even obscure subjects seem quite fascinating.

NEXT: I got my hands on an ARC of Lisa Jewell's latest, The Family Upstairs. Jewell is an auto-buy/read author for me, so I'm excited to see what she has up her sleeve with this one!
