This week's round-up features a few best of 2018 lists, because I am always curious to see which books were most loved compared to those I personally enjoyed the most. The overlap is not terribly frequent I have found, largely because I read a lot of books not published in this year. What were some of your favorites this year?
The Literary Hub offers another "best of" list, this one focusing on the best reviewed books of 2018. Do you agree with these raves?
I rather enjoyed this article about the meaning of bookshops, which goes beyond their selection. They can be cozy, calm environs in a crazy world. It's not news to us bookworms, but still an enjoyable read.
Finally, CrimeReads features the best psychological thrillers of 2018. Personal favorites were Lying in Wait by Liz Nugent and The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn. I also recommend Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier and Cross Her Heart by Sarah Pinborough for fast-paced, gripping reads.
