It's Friday, which means it's time for Link Love, where I share some of my favorite bookish articles and blogs from the past week. There are quite a few links I found interesting and worth sharing this week. I hope you find something here you enjoy. Happy reading!
The Guardian, which I am using three times in this weeks Link Love, because they just have such a diverse and engaging book segment, looks at some of the best modern Victorian novels. I have read and enjoyed Possession and The Crimson Petal and the White, but the others are new to me, though I did watch Alias Grace, the Netflix adaptation, and found it very intriguing.
Liane Moriarty, the author of Big Little Lies and The Husband's Secret, has come out with a new book. Here she gives a wide ranging interview, discussing it, but also the current times in which we live and what it means to be a writer in that environment.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, pilotical books are flying off the shelves, not just in the US, but in the UK as well. Do you read them? I didn't I have to say, before 2016 . . .
If you're as big a fan of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan Novels as I am, you will be excited to read this article on Stylist, discussing the upcoming adaptation of the books. I'm nervously looking forward to it!
The Atlantic highlights author Ali Fitzgerald's graphic novel, which captures the refugee crisis in Europe. I have often felt graphic novels are a good medium to teach without seeming preachy or too dry the way some non-fiction might. I will definitely add this one to my to-read list.
