This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished Lisa Jewell's latest novel Watching You. She was true to her usual form, crafting a clever and compelling story with engaging, multi-faceted characters and a well-plotted mystery. I did guess at the ending early on, but not how it came to pass, so I was very happy to read on and wasn't bored. You can find my review here.

NOW: I am about halfway through A Rising Man by Abir Mukherjee. It's set in Calcutta in 1918 and introduces the likable hero, Sam Wyndham. If the book continues to be as engaging as it has been so far, I am excited to read the next ones in the series as well!

NEXT: I plan to read West by Carys Davies next. It's a short book and a little different from my usual fare, but I've read good things about it and am excited to try it soon!
Have you read any of these books? What did you think?
