Stylist has rounded up some of the book to film adaptations to come this autumn. I am curious to see The Little Stranger and The Girl in the Spider's Web.
The Guardian looks at some of the best books about history's forgotten women. I have to admit, I haven't read any of these books, but Sarah Water's Fingersmith has been recommended to me more than once. Have you read it?
As a big fan of all of Elena Ferrante's books, the news that yet another adaptation of one of her lesser known novels is in the works is very exciting! Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal is going to adapt her book, The Lost daughter, and I am curious to see how it will turn out since much of the book, as I recall it, centers around the protagonist's thoughts.
Finally, I found a list of some of the most exciting new crime fiction out this month. I am eager to read a number of these, especially Transcription by Kate Atkinson and Lies by T.M. Morgan.
