Link Love

It's Friday, which means it's time for Link Love, where I share some of my favorite bookish articles and blogs from the past week. Happy reading!

Lets start this week with a list, and this one offers quite a few thrills! Brit + Co looks at some exciting new mysteries by female authors, some of which I have read and enjoyed already (Something in the Water, The Other Woman and Bring Me Back) and others I am looking forward to reading this summer, such as Social Creature and The Perfect Mother. What have you been reading so far this summer?

Next up, and kind going along with this theme, I came across an article on CrimeReads, discussing how the protagonists of crime fiction are changing.

On the Unbound Worlds website, I found this list of fantasy books that will appeal to bibliophiles. I am slightly shocked that I have only read one of them, and plan to rectify this soon! Smoke and Iron by Rachel Caine caught my eye, because I have read and enjoyed other books by the author. Have you read any of these? What did you think?

This article grabbed my attention mostly because of it's title "Mice Were Wildly Popular in Children's Books in the 90s - But Why?" Why indeed? I rather enjoyed the answer.

Like the author of this Buzzfeed list, I have been reading A LOT of crime fiction lately, and wouldn't mind the occasional break. Here are a few lighter options with a generous dash of romance:-)

And finally, here the Literary Hub highlights some of the best reviewed books of the week. I am especially eager to read Paul Tremblay's The Cabin at the End of the World and Dear Mrs Bird by AJ Pearce.
