This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished reading Mr. Flood's Last Resort (also published as The Hoarder) by Jess Kidd. It wasn't quite what I hoped it would be, but that could have been down to the timing of my reading it as I explain a little in my review here.

NOW: I am currently reading Cross Her Heart by Sarah Pinborough. Her previous book, Behind Her Eyes was a page turner, but quite weird and so far, this book has a similar vibe (I say "so far", but I am almost done). The writing is pretty good and the pace quick, however, I am just not enjoying it as much as I hoped. We will see;-)

NEXT: I think I will read Tara Isabella Burton's Social Creatures, which has been really hyped for the past months. It sounds a like a Gossip Girl/Gone Girl hybrid, which might prove entertaining. Have you read it? What did you think?
