Link Love

It's Friday, which means it's time for Link Love, where I share some of my favorite bookish articles and blogs from the past week. Happy reading!
I thought this was an engaging article by author Tom McAllister, discussing how it is for an author to publish a book, find an audience and how much the author has to ask for help. It is difficult to find a balance between pushing your book and being reserved. As an author myself, but also as a reader, I found this a very interesting read!
I have been on a mystery kick lately, but some are starting to feel too similar. This list of literary mysteries from Book Riot offers some intriguing suggestions. I have read a few, but am interested to finally try Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan and The Distant Hours by Kate Morton. Have you read any of these?
One more list, and this one is quite extensive, caters to fans of comedy. I think I might just find one or the other humorous summer read here.
And finally, CrimeReads offers a roundup of some of the creepiest neighbors in mystery.
