Link Love

It's Friday, which means it's time for Link Love, where I share some of my favorite bookish articles and blogs from the past week. Happy reading!
The Guardian has rounded up some of the authors to watch in the coming months. I always like to read debut authors, and some books mentioned here are going straight on my to-read list, such as Dear Mrs. Bird by AJ Pearce.
Another list of 2018 books to look forward to is this one found on The Literary Hub. It is no secret that I love crime fiction, and I cannot wait to get my hands on copies of The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey, Anatomy of a Scandal by Sarah Vaughan and Force of Nature by Jane Harper.
The Literary Hub has also published an interesting story about the power of translation, especially of contemporary novels dealing with contemporary issues.
Even though I do not in any way think reading should be a competition, I am curious to see the upcoming PBS series called The Great American Read. A number of well known authors, Margaret Atwood and George R.R. Marin among them, will lend their voices to the competition, and I am very curious to see this TV show about my favorite past time:-)
