Link Love

“She had a pretty gift for quotation, which is a serviceable substitute for wit.” ― W. Somerset Maugham
It's Friday, which means it's time for Link Love, where I share some of my favorite bookish articles and blogs from the past week. If you are in the US, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and can use the long weekend to relax and maybe even catch up on your to-read list:-)
Happy reading!
Because I love lists, lets start this week with a big one. The Guardian has asked some of today's best known authors to chose a few of their favorite books from 2017. There are some I enjoyed, some I didn't and quite a lot I have not read yet (or plan to ever). What were some of your favorites this year? I will post a little list of mine next month:-)
I you have been following the blog for a while, you know I write novels and it will come as no surprise that their genre, historical mystery is probably my favorite. If you feel the same, Bookriot has compiled a number of great titles to add to your to-read list.
The Literary Hub delves into the continued inequality between genders when it comes to literary prizes. I never really thought about this before, but the article offers some intriguing, if disappointing data.
Buzzfeed's book lists are always fun, because they come from regular reader comments. Here are loads of recommendations on books that really impacted way readers thought of their lives and the world we live in. Are there any you would add to the list?
