This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter, which was as gripping and dark as I expected, though the story took a lot of unexpected twists and turns. I wonder whether the author's surname is er real one. If so, she was basically destined to be a crime fiction novelist:-)

NOW: I am nearing the end of The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. It's a long book, but never boring and I look forward to reading more by this author. She really transports you back in time and though the time is very dark, it tells a story I haven't read before.

NEXT: I hope to read Artemis by Andy Weir next. I got to see him on the book tour for this new book and he was funny and engaging, which has e eager to see how this one compares to his debut sensation, The Martian.
