This Week in Books
This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished reading Excellent Women by Barbara Pym. After a lot of thrillers and mysteries, I wanted something lighter and easier and I certainly got that here. While nothing much happens, Pym has a very pleasant style and Mildred - the protagonist - rather grew on me. This book reminded me of E.M. Delafield's wonderful Diary of a Provincial Lady.
NOW: On the recommendation of some fellow readers, I have started Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones. I don't read much fantasy anymore, but this is intriguing and reminds me of Naomi Novik's Uprooted, which I thought was excellent. I will review it here soon.
NEXT: The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee sounds like a lot of fun, and has been on my to-read list for a while. I finally got a copy from the library and look forward to reading it next!
