This Week in Books
This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished After the Lie by Kerry Fisher. This was my second book by Fisher, and though I ended up rating it 3.5 stars, i would read more by this author. You can find my review here.
NOW: I am about half-way through Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz, and though I am enjoying it, it isn't yet living up to the hype. It reads a bit like a Golden Age mystery, but the book is slit into two parts, so I am curious how it will continue and what the excitement is all about. That said, Horowitz (of my beloved series Foyle's War and Midsomer Murders) is a wonderful writer and his language and characterization make the book a worthwhile read already.
NEXT: Stillhouse Lake by Rachel Caine is next on my to-read list. I have heard a good things about this book, and recently got the audiobook. have you read it? What did you think?
