This Week in Books
This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished The Good Widow by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke, and though I would rate it 3.5 stars, it was an entertaining read. My issue was that I could not really connect to the characters, and I guessed the ending, but that may simply be because I read a lot of books in this genre. Overall though, a fast-paced, engaging read, and I would read books by both authors in the future.
NOW: Over the weekend, I started reading One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus. It is the author's debut, and has been getting a lot of hype, so I was naturally curious to see how it lived up. I am about half-way through, and it's very fast moving and definitely a juicy read for summer:-)
LATER: Lastly, I am very excited to get my hands on a copy of Megan Whalen Turner's Thick as Thieves the fifth addition to her Queen's Thief series. I really loved these books when I first read them, and I had not expected there to be another. This morning I got a notification that my copy is available at the library, so I hope to get my hands on it by tomorrow! Have any of you read this series?
