This Week in Books
This Week in Books is hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found! In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future.
THEN: I just finished My Cousin Rachel by Daphne Du Maurier, my second book by the author. Though the ending wasn't as shocking as the build-up would have suggested it could be, I really enjoyed this and thought it was atmospheric and beautifully written. You can find my review here.
NOW: I FINALLY got my hands on a copy of Stephanie Garber's Caraval, which has been getting rave reviews and has been recommended to me on a number of occasions. I'm about a third of the way through, and it's quite good so far. Garber has a very flowery, descriptive style, which could be distracting in a very fast-paced novel, but is well-done here and adds a lot to the setting and atmosphere of the story.
LATER: Next up is Startup by Doree Shafrir. I got this in last month's Book of the Month Club box, and haven't read it yet. It looks like a fun, summer read and I hope the weather will play along so I can sit outside and enjoy it.
What are you reading this week?
