This Week in Books
This Week in Books is hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found and is on this blog for the first time! In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future.
THEN: This series just gets better and better! That ending!! How am I supposed to wait a whole year for the next book? Better review to come, but if you love mysteries and haven't started this series yet, I envy you the pleasure!
NOW: I just started The Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin, my first book by this author. It's just shy of 200 pages, so it should be a short read, though from what I've read so far, it seems to be a rather intense one, too. From the summary, it makes me think a little of Elizabeth Strout's My name is Lucy Barton, which I found to be quite impressive.
LATER: I enjoyed Liz Nugent's debut Unraveling Oliver, and was excited when, on my way home at Heathrow airport, I snagged a copy of her latest book, Lying in Wait. I've been hearing good things about it, so I will report back once I've read it:-)
